Movement Assessment

I watch how you walk, squat, rotate, and breathe. I'm looking for where your body compensates — not just where it hurts.

Root Cause Identification

I find the upstream pattern — the restriction or dysfunction that's creating your symptoms downstream. Then I explain what I see, in plain terms.

Skater Biomechanical Analysis

Predict problems before they become injuries.

Most recurring injuries in hockey aren't bad luck — they're predictable. The movement pattern that causes a pulled hamstring or a chronic groin strain is visible on video long before the injury happens. The problem is knowing what to look for.

With 30 years in hockey — including time as one of the NHL's top skate technicians — I've developed a process for analyzing skaters on video and identifying dysfunction before it becomes a diagnosis.

  • Video analysis of skating stride, edge work, and movement patterns
  • Identification of compensations and asymmetries that create injury risk
  • A corrective strength and movement program to address what I find
  • Follow-up assessment to track improvement

Currently in development. Working with a select group of young skaters to document and refine the methodology.
